We really liked the equipment with food products, which were a pleasant surprise for us. We were greeted by a pleasant smell upon entering the house. Beautiful surroundings, peace and quiet. Electric fireplace makes evening very cozy. I highly recommend it and we will definitely come back.
In a tranquil setting, this country farmhouse offers homely en suite rooms, and is surrounded by woodland and 2 forts. Fortview House is 6 miles from Cavan town.

We really, liked Michael who helped us with our luggage and was very pleasant and friendly. - Very impressed with Farnham for employing people with special needs. We liked the spa, the pool, and the location of the hotel.
We were disappointed at little added extras not being there since our last visit and that the 2 restaurants did not deliver uniquely different dining experiences. We noticed the walkways were in the process of much-needed renovations.
We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

First class in every respect.
First class in every respect. The rooms, breakfast and facilities were excellent. Most of all the host gave a great welcome and tea in the living room. The converted Mill is a beautiful environment. As a descendant of Glangevlin's McGovern family the stay was full of the best in Cavan hospitality.

We didn't see much as we were there for christening.
We didn't see much as we were there for christening. However beautiful setting . Everything seemed so far away from each other . There is a little town which seemed nice. It is at least an hour and half drive from Dublin. We needed a taxi to get from hotel to Dublin to fly home which cost €280.00 so you need to be aware of that if your not driving yourself. Every person we met or spoke to were so friendly .

We were really surprised at how much there is to do in Cavan.
Lakes and trails a plenty and it’s very easy to head out to neighbouring counties too!
We found the restaurants we eat in to be of a really high standard.
The stunning location of the cottage. In Ireland you can best find your way with Google addresses, so finding that was not a specimen at all. The fireplace was prepared, we felt right at home straight away. We felt at home from the minute we arrived and were so sad to leave. Aishling the host is amazing. Lovely peaceful area that is so close to a little town called Ballinagh and it's a short distance to Cavan town.
Perfect location, a short walk across the golf course or along the road to the Farnham estate (where we were attending a wedding/playing golf).
The rooms are modern and comfortable, and the kitchen downstairs has all you need for a snack or breakfast.
Bridie is absolutely fantastic and couldn’t have made you feel more at home. Very kind and even dropped us at the estate when dressed up in wedding attire!
Host was incredibly friendly and helpful. House was cosy and had everything we needed.
The location was not too far from Butlers Bridge and had Cavan town a little drive further. The adventure centre across the road was very handy and I can recommend the boating trip there for beautiful views and the castle on an island was great to stop off for a picnic.
The staff were exceptional. Friendly, helpful. Waiting staff confident and recommended lovely wines. Reception staff warm and welcoming. Porters went out of their way to assist one member of our party. Lots of lovely areas for a small group to sit and chat.
Orla's cottage was really lovely, extremely comfortable and with great facilities. It's in a beautiful quiet location, but it's also only a short drive away from the nearest town, and from some great places to visit and explore.
Breakfast was delicious as always. I find the help yourself option efficient. The dinner in the hotel was lovely but a bit on the pricey side compared to Cavan town. Spa was lovely. Wonderful helpful staff. Would stay again.
Situated right on the Main Street of the town. Breakfast was excellent and Jacinta was an exceptional member of staff. Really quick check-in and very attentive staff. Excellent value for money. I’ll be back again for sure!
Loved absolutely everything & everyone! Helen is such a warm, wonderful lady!! My family is from Ireland, specifically Cavan, so Helen’s location was everything I heard about my ancestors who grew up in Ireland.
Wonderful staff, fab dinner at Maxwell's (salmon en croute was the star!), delicious G&Ts beforehand made from Farnham estate gin, and a very comfortable & quiet room. Wish I'd had time to use the beautiful spa!
The staff at reception were very pleasant, polite and helpful and the room was comfortable and clean.
The hotel itself was in an ideal location for the places we wanted to visit in and around County Cavan.
A newly renovated apartment in the countryside of Cavan. This apartment has everything you need for a relaxing break away. Only distance from Cavan Town and surrounding amenities. Highly recommended
The accomodation was spotless and very spacious. It was a 5 min walk to the hotel where we had full use of the facilities. Extremely good value for money and we had our own space to chill out.
easy to get to from bus station, great location in centre of Cavan town. Lovely modern bar and restaurant as well as more traditional dining, staff are always lovely and helpful
