The location couldn't have been much better, just a short walk across a green space to the small town of Hahei. Mike and Andrea were terrific hosts and gave us good advice on things to do and places to eat. They also provided a shovel for nearby Hot Water Beach.

The location was great and easy to find. We only stayed one night, which was a shame as we'd have loved to stay longer. The kitchen was well equipped, and things like clingfilm and foil were available. We cooked and used the dishwasher, so again, it was great to have all that available. Loved the outside shower, although we didn't use it.
They provide kids buckets and spades for hotwater beach. The beds were comfortable too.
They also provided a great little selection of books for kids and a couple of games.

Wonderful, clean, tasteful place to stay! We loved our time here! Very short walk to the beach and town eateries/shops. Erin was lovely and gave helpful information about things to do. A real bonus was her darling dog Cleo. Would highly recommend staying here!

We arrived after Cyclone Lola so it was wet and sea was churned up with a big swell. The sun came out and we enjoyed our evening walk on the beach which is beautiful. The morning we got up at 5.30 am and drove to the foot of Te Pare and walked up to the point for sunrise photos. We did the Hahei explorer boat trip which was a great way to see the coastline which is currently shut to walkers. Later we drove to Hot Water Beach which was great fun leaping the huge waves! The tide and swell was too high to dig spa pools but we felt the hot water with our toes! We had dinner both nights in The Pour House which served amazing food.

Phil and Sue were fantastic hosts.
Phil and Sue were fantastic hosts. They helped us with great advice regarding road closures we encountered on the way. Thanks to Phil, we found an alternate route and missed the closure completely.
Once we arrived we felt so welcome and Phil gave us a ride up to the start of the Cathedral Cove walk.
I highly recommend staying here.

We would have liked to give the accommodation Cathedral Cove Appartment a 9.7 score as we thought it was much better than a 9.0 which is what it caame up as We rated all the amenities as the best we could and thought that the score would come up as more than 9
The cottage was perfect for my husband myself and our little chihuahua, we had the best time relaxing with the most beautiful view, close to the general store, little Cafe, souvenir store, and resturants, as well as a nice walk to the cathedral cove, Hahei beach and 10 min drive to hot water beach, the location is great! We will most certainly stay there again and cannot wait for our next trip.. communication on where to collect keys and trip planning was amazing.
Nice location in the hamlet of Hahei. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Room was small but the bed comfortable and the en suite clean and the shower was powerful. We loved the local beach, and the nearby hot water beach was great fun (go there at low tide +/- 90 mins). Unfortunately the footpath to cathedral cove was closed after cyclone damage.
Outstanding communication with the staff. We stayed in a multiplex room; very nice with lovely patios. The individual cabins looked nice; I'd choose one of those next time. The other facilities and offerings were all useful: a lounge, laundry, and shovels and towels to borrow to help explore Hot Water Beach.
Excellent location: just two blocks from the beach, accessed by a nearby public walkway to the beach. Hosts are wonderful, and Bill lent us a shovel to take to Hot Water Beach. They made excellent recommendations for places to eat both in Hahei and at Hot Water Beach.
We booked the Cottage. Very friendly and helpful staff at check in. The cottage was spacious, clean and had a few lovely touches like fresh flowers. The location is brilliant. Walking distance to the beach and close to a cafe, shop and bistro.
The location was perfect for sightseeing around Hahei. Short drive to hot water beach. The room was very private and very comfortable and the hostess was so friendly. Loved our stay in beautiful Coromandels
Very friendly hosts . Great room , spacious clean and quiet. Amazing views from the room. Very safe and quiet . Hahei is a very lovely area . The hosts couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating .
Ponga eco-lodge was a lovely escape for myself and my partner. It was lovely to have the e-bikes to explore hahei. Beautifully set in the hills and to be able to relax in the spa to watch the sunset.
Lodge was fully equiped
We were provided a baby cot and a baby chair which was very appreciable
Great location in Hahei : great cafe, little grocery store and hahei beach nearby
Close access to beach. Room and bed good size. Good inside lighting. Kitchen set up very complete. Roomy bathroom. Drying lines. Hot tub available. Porch with table and chairs.
The location was great and you were walking distance to everything food and activities. The beach is so beautiful here. The property backs up to a park with a tennis court.
Highly recommended! If you're staying at Hahei this place is a treat to stay at.
We arrived in the middle of the night and during a heavy storm and checking-in was easy.
Great location, close to beach, Cathedral Cove trail and several meal options. Also the kitchen was very functional and the owners brought me a coffee plunger.
